What cookies and browser storage are
Cookies and local storage are small pieces of data a website keeps in your browser, so it can remember you between pages and visits.
What we use them for
- Your session. Keeping your guest session or login, so you stay signed in. Needed for the site to work.
- Settings. Remembering choices you have already made on this device.
- Safety. Detecting abuse and keeping suspensions in force.
- Measurement. Counting visits and seeing which pages are used, so we can improve the site.
Other companies' cookies
- Payment pages. When you buy coins, the payment provider's own page may set its own cookies, under the provider's policy.
- Measurement tools. If we use analytics or ad-measurement tools (to count visits, or to see which ads bring people here), they set their own cookies under their providers' policies.
We don't sell what these cookies record. If you'd rather not be measured, blocking third-party cookies in your browser keeps Online Chat working.
Your choices
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. If you do, you will be signed out, and a guest session that was never linked to an email can't be recovered. Blocking session storage entirely stops Online Chat from working.
