What we do
Most online chat starts with a username and a text box. We think a conversation with someone new goes better when you can see each other, so Online Chat goes straight to video. Open the page, allow your camera, and you are talking to a person you have never met.
It runs in the browser you already have, on a phone or a computer. A guest session starts on its own, so you don't need an email, a password or an app. And it stays one-to-one on purpose: just the two of you, nobody else watching.
What's on Online Chat
How it's paid for
Starting is free, and free video matches are handed out every day. After that, video calls are paid with coins bought in advance: a random match costs the amount shown on the Start button, and a call to a specific person costs her own price, shown in the app. A notice appears in the call before billing starts. Card payments go through a payment provider; we never see or store your card number.
What we won't do
- Sell your personal data.
- Read your conversations as a matter of routine. Only a reported part is looked at.
- Show your email or phone number to the people you talk to.
- Start charging for a call without telling you in the call first.
Keeping it good
Everyone on Online Chat must be at least 18 years old. Reports are reviewed by people, and accounts that break the rules are suspended or removed. The details are in the community guidelines, the Safety Center and the Terms of Service.
